So you want to fly….
Most of us in the hobby can't think of a better way to spend the weekend than 'moving the sticks'. There's something about each successful flight that puts a smile on your face. You can relive the nostalgic flight of a WW1 bi-plane or venture into today's world of Drones. All right here in Piedmont, SC.
If you are new to radio control, we have people who can help you learn the right way to get the most out of your new hobby. If you are a seasoned veteran of the hobby, we have a 1000 foot runway just waiting for your next flight.
Before you start looking at models, you should start on the AMA website. You will want to fill out the online membership and look over the flight training videos that the AMA offer for free. Get your membership card, and in the meanwhile, come out to the field and talk to the members. There is always someone willing to talk about the hobby of miniature aircraft and flying in general.
AMA membership is required at most flying fields for insurance reasons.
